Management team
The Light Crafts team is managed by seasoned digital media executives that have produced impressive shareholder values before.
CEO
Fabio has a passion for the arts and the intellect for science. He holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Computer Science. As an entrepreneur, he has founded two companies. The first was XQRL inc, building one of the first high performance implementations of the XML Query. The company was acquired by BEA Systems. Dissatisfied with the options available for working with images, he founded Light Crafts Inc. Before becoming an entrepreneur, he worked as a physicist at CERN in Geneva Switzerland

Over the last 15 years, Rachel has specialized in the startup hi-tech environment of Silicon Valley. She was also part of the original Java Team at Sun Microsystems, and immediately prior to joining Light Crafts, she led the development and research group for Digital Libraries at Stanford University. Paul Lucas
Chief Engineer
Paul holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of illinois and started his career at Bell Laboratories where, among other things, he researched visualization of large data sets. He continued his career at NASA Ames Research Center developing a web-based, multi-user collaborative document-sharing system. He then collaborated with Fabio on XQuery, specifically implementing XQuery’s rich type system. Paul’s primary programming interests include computer languages, compilers, library design, and finite state automata. He maintains a few open-source projects including CHSM, a system for specifying concurrent, hierarchial finite state machines. CHSM is used in environments from research facilities to Fortune 500 companies.
