it just so happens your posts have caught me in the middle of thinking about these issues with respect to the forums. yes, Bink, this is stuff for the Wiki, and indeed we may be able to harness some google power here as well.

for everyone else out there: any ideas on improving these forums---their functionality and ability to cough up good info? there's a lot buried in here. it seems to me if it was easier/more obvious how to get to some info, more forum members would be more active with questions/suggestions, and that effect might snowball. it would certainly be a boon to new users, and might attract some who are sitting on the fence because of a lack of demos/tutorials/manual/ &etc.
