Cool Wiki dot project abandoned

I think that will a good idea to resume some interestant articles for reactivating the LighZone wikidot project.

Maybe the best is to maintain all style in the page under the style menu. I understand that Tex is one of the administrator.

Default yes, i am sort of an administrator

i did a bunch of editing early on. I need to get with Jacek to ask him about the future of it, since he set it up. Jacek has for now "moved on" from LZ....new marriage, new software projects, as i understand it. nothing has been done there for a long time.

i have so much stuff i need to resurrect that is 50-70% complete it makes me ill. some of that is tutorials (i was experimenting with jing until i ran into weird sound problems on my computer---the total disappearance of sound, for instance. windozzzzze, aaaarrrggghhhh!). plus a bunch of styles i had done a long while ago need modification .

but i think you are basically correct. we need to collect and migrate some stuff to the wikidot site, and translate some stuff, too.

Jacek: I try to communicate with him for his program gcalib, but no response, maybe occupied taking his own wedding photo!!

I suppose the best is to make resumes of the best discussions, as example the sharpening topic with the Alan style. A lot of good stuff is on this forums but chaotically ordered and hard to search. I can help you, unfortunately my english is hugly but with the effort of all can make a nice site for all of us.

your english is far better than my ---is your language Italian or Spanish, can't remember.....anyway, all i can do is read and write French badly. so, one thing you could do is translate some stuff for the wikidot! we could work together on that. fotopassion.fr is a GREAT little site for info on LZ and some tutorials, in French of course.

i think it would be great to have some translations up on the web. english is a very useful language, especially because you can tremendously abuse it and still be understood, but i think having the translations makes a positive impression for the community and people who are looking at LZ for the first time.

Both ... I live in Venezuela and my parents are italian...

So rest only to make plans and join forces.

I will begin to add my emulation of Dragan style, with some variations if you agree.

Hi guys

I was "passing by" and noticed this post.

The truth is that I indeed abandoned some of my LZ related projects. There are many reasons and I don't want to discuss them here.

If anybody wants to work on the wiki - you got my blessing and please don't hesitate to ask for help. I will do whatever I can.

If anybody needs to contact me, please email me directly at cuniek at kft dot umcs dot lublin dot pl.

PS
Yes - I still use LZ, no, the marriage did not ruin my life - its the job and some extra activities.
