1. How do I retrieve my original photo once I’ve saved my edits?
Right click on the image and choose the item “Delete Edits”. This will remove your edits.
2. How do I edit photos not in my “Pictures” folder?
Aurora, by default, displays the contents of your “pictures directory” on your computer. If you have your pictures under a different directory follow these steps:
1. Highlight “Pictures” folder icon in Aurora (on the left-hand side)
2. Click on “File” in the menu bar
3. Select “Change pictures folder” in the File menu
4. You will then be able to browse you folders on your computer and select any folder you’d like.
3. Is there an Apple version of Aurora?
No, but we’re working on it.
4. What is Adobe AIR, and why do I need to download it?
Adobe AIR is a common internet tool and is required for Aurora to function. For more information, visit the Adobe AIR webpage, http://www.adobe.com/products/air
5. How do I buy Online Backup?
Aurora has a menu item “Set Up Aurora Backup”. Click on this item and follow the instructions. You will need a credit card and an Amazon account.
6. I lost my activation code, what do I do?
There are a couple of options. 1) Email support and we can look up customer information (support@lightcrafts.com). or 2) Visit the Avangate support website, and follow instructions from there.
7. Aurora closed down (crashed), what do I do now?
Wait for a short period of time and then relaunch Aurora. If you continue to have difficulty please contact support@lightcrafts.com, and describe what you were doing at the time of the crash.
8. Is the free trial software a fully-functioning version of the product?
The free trial software is fully functional and is not crippled.
9. What types of image files does Aurora support?
Aurora currently supports JPEG files. JPEG is the most common format for photos.
10. What cameras does Aurora support?
Aurora supports all cameras that are capable of creating JPEG files.
11. What are the system requirements to be able to run Aurora?
Microsoft® Windows XP, Microsoft® Windows Vista or Microsoft® Windows 7, when it becomes available.
2Ghz or multi core processor with a minimum of 1GB RAM is recommended for satisfactory performance.
An Internet connection is necessary for activation and to access online backup.
12. Can you send me a copy of Aurora on CD?
Aurora is only available online and is not distributed on CD or DVD.
13. How do I import photos from my camera into Aurora?
1. Insert your memory card into your favorite printer or insert the card directly into your computer if there is a compatible slot. Aurora will launch and begin importing the contents of your memory card once your computer detects the printer activity.
2. If you import using a cable connected to your camera, hook the other end, into your computer and Aurora will launch and begin importing the contents of the memory card.
